This video was shot approximately 13 months after I had an orbital implant put in my socket; The implant is the hydroxyapatite coral type, AKA the Bio-Eye. My prosthetic eye is acrylic, and I have worn this type since early childhood. Before the implant I had very little, if any, movement - and my eye socket was misshapen and not symmetrical with the other one.

  • Any and all types of implants are put in through surgery, you will not be able to remove it yourself, and you will be under anesthesia when this operation is performed so there is no pain. During recovery, you will be given drugs for pain and to promote healing.
