Jet Lawnmower - Up in FLAMES!! Fireworks Steve Gets BBQ'd

Just a normal run of the mower, but this time, a fuel pipe (carrying high pressure diesel) melted... oops. In the words of Steve - "Any incident you can walk away from is a winner!" -He lost some hair and had a sore face for over a week.

28 Seconds: You can see smoke around the reheat pipe - I think this is the fuel pipe melting, then when the re-heat diesel was switched on, it squirted out onto the hot pipe.....

1:16 FIRE! Steve had his head over the tail pipe when it went up. Pums were still running, feeding the fire with diesel. Has to damp down the flames to get close to remove the battery.

Hi Mr Jpbuckslayer, you actually couldn't have told us that, not having been there at the time.. Your comments are actually quite wrong, see my other video "lawnmower resurrected" which shows it running after some minor repairs (Replaced a pipe). The fire was caused by a plastic pipe melting, and releasing diesel over the reheat tube.
