  • Well, of course the original song is better. The Clash is a great band, but No Doubt didn't do an awful job on this song. It's a decent cover.

  • obviously the original ones the best...but no doubt are just fans and hell they are just having fun. i like it.

  • Fucking Haters. If you think its Horibble or awful why the fuck did you look it up?

    Yeah thats right, STUPID FUCK.-_-

  • likes been said already, i think they were just havin' fun with a favorite of theirs. obviously they'd be different - this was their take on one of my clash faves. one thumb raised for the effort, as it doesn't do it for me like the original.

  • awful.

  • @twilightari21 not at all, a cover is a bands interpretation of another bands song. If they play it EXACTLY as it was originally they might as well just be a cover band playing at some dusty old bar. Changing it up is the best part of covers sometimes.

  • fuckin HOT! Gwen is Hot. The best cover from the album.

  • The Clash is my all time favorite band and this song in my humble opinion is the best one on the 'Burning London' tribute disc. As previous commenters noted, Gwen sounds like "she's horny, or gonna cum" because the the singer in the first person is a heroin addict jonesing for a fix.

Really like the way she draws out the final verse: "I killed all my nerves; what swerves; I can't drive so steady I lost my memory; behind; I can't see so clearly"

  • it's decent, but the chorus really falls short imo

  • @twilightari21 My comments were in response to the people who were saying Gwen fucked up the chorus. And no, the point of a cover is to filter a song through a different artists interpretation. It shouldn't sound EXACTLY the same throughout the whole thing. The covering band needs to add their own elements to it that make it unique to their band. But my comment was defending Gwen's singing of the chorus.

  • @nodoubtxvandal isn`t that the point of a cover?

the original, only sung by a different band? ...
