My six-year-old daughter having what I think is a seizure. One EEG showed seizure activity, the second one did not. She is suspected to have Aspergers as well.
Take it easy!!! Seizures can give such subtle nebulous signs that many go undetected. Have them put her on a home monitor for a couple of days! I wrote what I wrote, because I witnessed much suffering and it would pain my heart to think your daughter has some kind of seizure disorder. I'm superstitious,I figured if I said she didn't have seizures, well, maybe she wouldn't. In the hospitals I worked,I always thought the absolute best for my patients. Maybe, just maybe,it would help.
this was one of the ways i had a hunch she was on the spectrum.Majority not all but most tend to be very chatty unlike boys who are usually nonverbal either all their life or unti age 4 or so when they have had some speech therapy or something to trigger speech.3 years since you posted this what has her diagnosis been?
I have Asperger's, and also Tourette's. I'd suggest either an absence seizure or a tic. 1 out of 4 kids on the autism spectrum have tics.

Coming from someone who knows seizures...she was having an absent seizure.

if this was even close to a seizure, it would be absense seizures but she still has control of her facial muscles. So...no.

This could just be an absent seizure which are mild.

There is such thing as seizures like this where they blank out and have no idea of their surroundings!
