www.archperima.blogspot.com Event held in the SOA Courtyard @ FIU, January 29th, 2009 A Joint venture between Design 8 and Grad 2 students, this was an experiment in interventionist architecture using guerrilla tactics of design. By building up anticipation for the event by way of gradual assemblage of site and multi-faceted marketing, we were able to successfully hold an event in which a space configured for event was utilized, but in a matter most certainly not expected of. Procession, performance, and sound/imagery were as pivotal to this event as was the 2D/3D elements of the site. Some re-used plywood, about a $100 of painters tape, and a boatload of newspapers later, we held our ground and created a stage for the "performers" who focused on architecture as a wearable shelter, literally or metaphorically.
