The Chevrolet Volt traveled to Virginia and plugged into CharityWorks GreenHouse, the first carbon neutral designer show house on the East Coast. Check out some of the highlights of the event with Tony Posawatz, Volt vehicle line executive.
gm's 2nd generation "ev1" from TEN years ago could do up to 140 miles per charge. you gave up the title "technology leader" 2:38 the moment you took them back from the lessees, refusing their money and crushed them against their wishes.
Awesome. I'm really hoping for either high gas prices or lower vehicle cost (or both), because the $40K pricetag that we are hearing before government incentives is simply too unaffordable for all but the extremely dedicated green driver.
I would really like to see this vehicle succeed on its own as a mainstream car that everyone can enjoy (and see value and benefits in switching to) without corporate welfare being involved.
