Absolute power always corrupts... Doesn't matter if it is under the guise of religion or politics. It will always corrupt those who hold the power and it always will. Human nature has proven this to be true through the ages. It is so difficult to learn about a story like this, but somehow it is made even worse when you realize those in power have lost any traces of their humanity they may have had left. I can say and believe that this girl is better off dead now. They can't hurt her anymore....
