working at nissan I've learned that cvt transmissions are a fail! they're very good in theory but they're not quite there yet. we've had to replace a lot of them and they extended the warranty on the versa's n things with cvt's to 120k miles / 10 year warranty because of "how great the product is," I miss the old times when nissan honda and toyota made little sport compact cars that you could just zip around in and they be affordable, they're all econoboxes or expensive sports cars..

what happened to Nissan knowing the future is electric and wants to lead the world?
-
Its very simple, the developed world puts out more CO2 than what the earth can replenish, so what do you think would happen in the future.... i am assuming you are an intelligent person
-
oh god you're such a fucking idiot.
-
It looks like a CONCEPT follower, my VERY BEST CONGRATS to this IDEA...
-
We've had a decade of cooling which means that it is not due to CO2, but the scam goes on and people believe what they want.
-
@oilhammer04 Well the Earth is heating up (Because of CO2) thus the ice caps are melting and more water = flooding and then no more land for us humans to live on.
-
Prove it.
-
@oilhammer04 If we keep dumping CO2 in the atmosphere we will die.... And i like living.....

You dont have to believe in the global warming phenomenon to appreciate a more efficient engine technology.

It's good that they focused on the transmission as well as the engine. Cars lose a lot of power in transmission losses, so if they improved that, fuel efficiency and power will increase.
