Let's hear it for the Vancouver Canucks and NAV CANADA employees in Vancouver who are showing their team colours in a BIG way!

This past Saturday morning, a giant banner was suspended from the Vancouver Tower in support of the Canucks who have just won the Western Conference Championship, and are heading to the Stanley Cup final.

NAV CANADA employees have vowed that the banner will remain in place throughout the playoffs and until the Canucks bring home the Cup.

Seventeen years ago, controllers hung a handmade banner in support of their mighty Canucks, and though the team did not make it to the end, the banner is now in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The new banner is a lot bigger and is visible from a long distance.

If there is one thing that brings Canadians together -- it's hockey. And no matter what team you root for, you have to admit this is pretty cool.

Samedi dernier, en matinée, une banderole géante a été suspendue à la Tour de Vancouver pour appuyer les Canucks, qui viennent tout juste de remporter le championnat de la Conférence de l'Ouest et qui accèdent ainsi à la finale de la coupe Stanley.

Les employés de NAV CANADA ont juré de laisser la banderole suspendue pendant toute la durée des séries éliminatoires, et ce, jusqu'à ce que les Canucks remportent la coupe.

Il y a 17 ans, les contrôleurs de Vancouver avaient fabriqué eux-mêmes une banderole pour appuyer leur équipe. Bien que les Canucks ne se sont pas rendus jusqu'au bout, la banderole a tout de même été exposée au Temple de la renommée du hockey.

La nouvelle banderole est beaucoup plus grande, et visible de loin.

S'il y a une chose qui puisse unir les Canadiens, c'est bien le hockey. Peu importe l'équipe pour laquelle vous prenez, vous devez admettre que cette histoire est formidable.
