Ok. for the lady: dont get too powerful on the verses. Your voice has alot of power on the verse, but then drops in the chorus, that doesnt fit the song. it should get more powerful in the chorus and be softer in the verse. to the dude: the guitar really needs to be addressed. Dont use a pick on the intro. Thats insulting, watch frusciante play it, you're missing tons of notes. your work on the rest is fine, just fix that intro.

@TheMrintensity well, I don't think it's insulting to use a pick. John uses a pick all the time. Not on this intro,true, but he's also plugged in. I'm using the pick for volume, and i really don't think John or anyone is insulted by me using a pick to play it.

As for the rest, I really think you're missing the point man. If we were trying to sound like RHCP, I would have found a male vocalist. We were just giving our interpretation of a great song as we felt best suited our abilities.

Ok . First thing first. I found your videos through marcys playground. Being a 90's baby, the song has always struck a chord ( no pun) within me. Girl : Your are absolutely adorable, and in the the marcy song your voice wasn't exactly terrible. Although this videos rendition seems to convey your voice as a cat being dunked in water (except on the chorus when the cat seems to be in pain).

I'm reading the comments and your replies to the comments, and I still don't understand the thought process behind covering this song. Sex and Candy I understand. You sang it differently and with the female vocals it was just enchanting! But with this song, you've already heard criticisms about your voice not well suited to the song, so...yeah, and it's pretty much done the same way; mellow, reflective, sullen. So...why?
