WTF: Dead Island Drama

Dead Island has been called out lately for accidentally releasing the developer version of the game, titling a skill "Feminist Wh*re" in a debug file, and publishing a trailer involving the murder of a child. This is no laughing matter, obviously, but are people overreacting?

Who cares about a debug file(except that it was funny)?... if regular people knew about all the crazy stuff you can find in closed source code they wouldn't even blink at the "feminist whore" string.. sigh...

And seriously Americans are way too sensitive about the entertainment industry..

If it actually hurt or killed someone or animals I would understand but fiction....

I don't think problem number one was significant. Problem two was a silly and highly unprofessional mistake that not even indie game makes. Problem three was bad but nothing to detract the game from overall.

However, "low budget" is not excuse for average scores. Half-Life 1 was personally funded by the founders of Valve, and it went on to win "Best PC Game of all Time" along with fifty other awards. Amnesia the Dark Descent was indie (meaning very low budget), and it turned out to be great.

meh, I don't really like this one over Left 4 Dead series. My bro and I like to get on with a few friends to play together at my place. So this one is for those people without "friends" and big screen TV's as I see it. It was too quick to beat and I already traded it back to the used gaming shop. Maybe if they come out with a true multi-player version I might get that one.

@choochoodude54 Totally. I'm almost done with the Thieve's Guild quests. I'm not sure when I'll do it though. I spend WAY too much time wandering around and looking at various locations. All and all it's a GREAT game.
