It brings tears to my eyes, I was 13 and still remember that moment. It was marvelous seeing Secretariat run, it was like perfection had a moment in history. To those who missed that moment, please see that 1973 Belmont Stakes race, it is awesome!!!

I was 9 years old and remember hearing my father yelling, "HE DID IT! HE DID IT!" I was behind the couch playing with my electric slot cars racing track...he scared the heck outa me. He picked me up from behind the couch and tossed me in the air. Its hard for me to ever forget that race. Mrs. Tweedy, you had the greatest horse to ever race. I wish I was older then to have seen it in person. God blessed you with Secretariat. ...and the world too for the short time to watch him run. :)

@southbadge regard Triple Crown, is just one important race in your country, your horses are just good in your country. But there has never been a comparison with the rest of the world. Beyond America, there is not a desert without life, there is life, there are people. . The most important race in the world (galloping) is not in the U.S. but in Paris L'Arc de Triomphe.
