Open cPanel section and take a look at the Back up section of cPanel. Click the Backup icon. The window inside will show a back up screen, where you can see daily, weekly or monthly options. By clicking any of these options, you can download a copy of these backups to your local computer. The better part is to scroll down and work for manual backup options. There are many ways to take back up of your files, depending upon which files'back up is to be taken. Back up of the home directory can be taken by clicking the 'Home Directory'button. You can take back up of SQL section by clicking on database section or you can select some specific files from sub domains for which back up can be taken. Steps to create full back up and store it on FTP server:

1. Click 'Download or Generate a Full Back up'button.

2. In the next window opened, click back up destination, from drop down options and choose 'Remote FTP Server'option.

3. Enter Email ID on which you want the whole back up information.

4. Enter the remote server where you want that your backup should go.

5. Enter FTP username & password.

6. You will get a message of back up on the email ID provided.


Back up of home directory can be taken, simply by clicking the 'Home Directory'tab. You can browse the saved back up and upload it. The files will be restored.
