Awesome programme. Loved the way they taught footballing kids to act because it was easier than teaching young actors to play football.

you just dont get these shows anymore (grange hill,simon and the witch,woof,supergran,ect) its like a part of english life and culture has been cut out to cater for US inspired shows with kids who are usually 4/5 years older then the characters they are playing and who look like models and are always in the throes of teengae angst.

It didn't clash with Johnny Briggs, they were both shown on BBC1.
