This is master fiddler Dorel Kordoban from the village of Lazuri in the Bihor region of Romania playing a "vioara cu goarna" on the train from Negreni Fair to oradea in Oct. 2006. Dorel made this particular violin himself. Dorel wasn't in the best of shape when this video was taken, having spent the day at the Negreni fair playing music and accepting a lot of free drinks... and then putting away a bit of home made tsuica while on the train. I am playing kontra fiddle on one of the small 3/4 size fiddles that Dorel had not sold that day at the fair.

faină...faină..cum numa-n Bihor poace hi..când zici vioară cu goarnă gândul iţi zboară in Bihor,pt.că ea este specifică acestei zone folclorice,mulţam faină pt.postare.
