CNC DVD BURNER LASER

This is my cnc machine with my self built DVD burner laser just to learn how things work.
I built this driver with off the shelf components and hooked it up to the parallel port.
The CNC software is NINOS, but it works also with Mach3 and others.
Next will be a bigger laser.

I JUST DESTROYED MY GOOD WORKING SAMSUNG DVD WRITER MODEL TS-H653! I OPEND IT TOOK ALL THE SCREWS OUT SEARCHING FOR THE DIODE..

BUT NOTHING! HOW IS IT POSIBLE! NOT EVEN A HEATSINK! EVEN SEARCHED OFF THE RAIL !!! THE ONLY THINGS THAT WHERE IN THERE WHERE MIRRORS AND LENSES LEADING TO WHERE THE DIODES SHOUD BE BUT THERE WAS ONLY A PRINTPLATE WITH A PEACE OF GLASS ON IT!
