  • Hi Narlar, You can mention your concerns to a parent or your doctor, and ask them to fully explain the process to you. Your splints will support and protect your wrists and should hinder the use of your joints as little as possible. They will just take a bit of getting used to but once you are comfortable with them they should be a great help to you. If you would like to chat to and make friends with other people with JA you can become our friend on BeBo, just search for JasperIreland.

  • wow this was like watching myself espicaly watching you walk down the stairs. Everything you said in this clip relates to my life and its comforting to know that other young people are dealing with this. I find the tiredness is the most misunderstood symptom by friends and family who often think you are just being lazy. Somtimes I get down on myself and start to feel lazy and useless. It was a big help to me to hear others are strugling with the cripling fatiuge that is often not discussed.

  • this made me cry. its good to know someone else understands what im going through. watching this video was like looking in a mirror. from the splints and special made shoes to the stroller and walking down the stairs. it is such an emotional toll on you and all your loved ones. and you try to be normal and hang out with friends and go out but you get tired so fast and cant keep up. i was diagnosed when i was 2. im turning 23 next month and i just finished having both my knees replaced.
