The Oyster River High School Student Body walked out on Thursday, April 14th 2011 in protest after the School Board's decision on April 11th to NOT hire a new principal. Over 500 students participated in this peaceful protest, where the students walked from the High School to the SAU building, where a handful of students met with Superintendent Howard Colter on the issue. The School Board will meet on Wednesday, April 27th in the High School to further discuss the issue.

  • @TheGeraldole nah as long as it's not inappropriate we can wear whatever we want. Since we're one of the highest achieving public schools in the state we have a lot of liberties, wearing hats in class, using ipods, etc. We don't need regulations to keep control of us like they do at Dover or something.

  • @TheGeraldole it seem your a bit jellos since students stood up for what they belief in.
