WOW! I'm shocked! I didn't think it would look like Nintendo 64 quality, but there's the proof!

The Jag was capable of a lot of untapped potential that just didn't make it's way through. I really hope that to see more homebrews in the up comming future. I know this game isn't a homebrew but it certainly sets a standard to follow.

@viMasterJag I'm in the UK, I run a 37" LCD 1080p screen, the Jag is hooked up via official scart so I can only assume it is running at 60hz, I know for a fact the tv runs 60hz as it can perfectly display Dreamcast via VGA (60hz only) anyway it just seemed as though your ship was responding quicker than it did for me, maybe I was just being cautious. I really want to like this game as the later levels look awesome its just the crappy first one that really bugs me, its hard to see where to shoot

impressive indeed, but I know it's totally unplayable by me.

Its time to play some Jaaaaag~!! Hi its fox torres :P

this runs incredibly smooth. if only atari had bundled this game with the console! instead of cybershit

The programmers of this game were very very talented indeed. I have Zero-5 for STE/Falcon on an atari st mag coverdisk and that is the best graphics I have seen on an ST. Not content with the best graphics on the ST they produced the best on Jaguar too.

Is this anything like the zero 5 on falcon/ste?
yeah this is running much faster than normal, I just played it last night and the ship just doesnt respond and swing round that fast. The first level really pisses me off as (someone else mentioned as well) the ship appears stationary and the camera is static and the movement of the ship doesn't match what you want or expect, I really hate the first level its not that its challenging its just that the camera angle gives you a rubbish perspective

@Antonyv1982 I'm confused. I did nothing to the video nor do I have an overclocked Jaguar system. That would be ridiculous. I like the Jag as it is.
I don't know why your experience is different.
I haven't played this in a long time, but is there any button configuration or a setting for speed of controls?
Are you playing on a 50Hz system or 60Hz? If you're on 50Hz, maybe that's the prob. I know other games have run faster in the U.S., because of the 60Hz.

Is this version running on an overclocked system? It seems to run much, much smoother than I remember it being.

Nope, this is a stock Jaguar.

Kind of funny that all the 3rd party titles which actually used the Jag's 64-bit capabilities started coming out after the Jaguar was pronounced _dead_.
Pretty nice looking game. But... I can't believe no one else has commented on this... what's with the total lack of backgrounds? It makes it look like the ship is staying in place the whole time. Could the Jag not even handle basic backgrounds with this level of graphics?

There's a simple explanation for this -- it's in space.
Maybe they're not completely noticeable in youtube video quality, but there are stars.
Usually what happens with space themes.
