forget and remember (au)

i don't know where this comes from but in the last de scene of 3x05 i just saw so many parallels and it seemed like damon (and elena aswell?) was thinking about the 'i love you'-compulsion. wonder if she is ever going to remember and confront him about it, huh?
well, i kind of got away with it. it's huge au. in the end, when elena asks "where were you damon?" she means where he was, after he compelled her and why he even left or did it. he promises to never leave her again; never compel her again.
i just love how damon is not the one he was once. when in season 2 he wanted her to forget. and in 3x02 he wanted her to remember. that's why i brought the quotes in at the end. like elena remembers that now he doesn't want her to forget anymore, but to remember.

anyways, last episode was great! *-* can't wait for next week!
