From our series "What Happens One Minute After You Die?" This clip answers the question: Can our loved ones in heaven know what we're doing here on earth?
0:30 did this "Dr" say "I can't imagine" that if those in heaven wanted a update that the Lord Jesus would not give it to them"? where does it say THAT in the bible? here we have a "Dr of theology"??? imparting his "feelings" of what the Lord is doing? whoa
"Just as man is destined to die once, and after to face judgement" (Hebrews 9:27). I believe we go to heaven, after we die, if we have Jesus as our Savior - Jesus told the other criminal who where with him asking him to remember him when Jesus will be on his kingdom, - "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43) Our spirit would be with Jesus but our temporal body remain until resurrection. It would be a glorified body.
@jmkr1979 Whats your point? Moses and Elijah represent the 2 types of people in the end at the second coming, those who are raised from the dead(Moses) and those who are translated without seeing death(Elijah). And we know from the book of Jude that Moses has had a special resurrection.
1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Considering the dead sleep, and will not live again till the resurrection, I would say this guy better start studying scripture. Grab all the verses from the old and New testament about what happens to the dead, and you will find there is atleast 140 verses that say the dead sleep an unconscious sleep in the dust, and awake on the last day.
Its kinda funny that this pastor hasnt had that revelation yet,but its ok.I dont blame him I didnt figure this out till a little while ago.Mind you im just starting my journey with Christ,so I guess you could call me a baby christian. This fact being known,Im worried about thetimes we are in now.I believe that we are so close to the rapture at this point. And Im worried since ive started so late in my journey i will not be as spritual as others. Will this make a difference to Christ? Will igotoheave
Biblically, the answer is "no." Nobody is in "heaven" right now. All who have died are asleep in their graves awaiting the resurrection of the dead. If people are in "heaven" now, there's really no need for a resurrection. In fact, "heaven" really isn't a geographical place. It's a spiritual realm where God dwells. Where does God dwell? In his people(1 Cor 3:16,17). That's why Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within(Greek: "entos," meaning "inside," see Mt 23:26) us(Luke 17:21)
