  • Until 1941, when URSS and Germany were allied, french resistance made nothing, as they were communists. Then, when Germany attacked URSS, Moscow, their master, told them what to do...

They wanted communism, not democracy...they weren't liberators, only the english and american armies were.

And remember there were so many french patriots with the german army...

remember the Charles-Magne division...they were the last to surrender in Berlin,

    when Hitler was dead yet...

  • @franc968f 'English' armies? So the many, many Scottish, Irish and Welsh soldiers who fought and died for the freedom of Europe are forgotten so easily?

I think you mean BRITISH armies, friend.

  • @coupaydeville But I think you do want to sing in key :)

  • @getkristan She was raw through the whole performance. A song about killing Germans.. You don't want a pretty voice.

  • @franc968f

Although their efforts and sacrifices for France had been recognised by all sides.

Doesnt matter communists or not, they made great job for liberate their own country.

  • Anyone else cringe at 3:09?

  • @lriscala

On 1 : unless top management over ruled : Philippe August to Louis XIV's marechals; Napoleon; some episode between 1890 and 1960 (mainly overseas).

May be, we should get rid of Saint Cyr and let the Legion rules... YEAH, brothas

On 2: My French Grandparents told me all that ; they fought in WW1, entered the Resistance (truly in 1940') but aknowledge they fully lost track. They always forgave their fathers to support Germany in the 30's.

  • @franc968f THis is true, helas, but partly. Same thing regarding la Division Charlemagne :France always had very good soldiers (Frank blood improved by foreign additions over the centuries); problems has always been management (upper officers) : always one war behind.

Americans, do not forget the trauma of WW1; Germans recovered because they lost (feelings of revenge nourrished the society hope) - For France, it was an empty victory and feeling that they did it all for the Front Populaire

FAILLITE. Solution ? : Taxe de 900% sur importations ciblées.
