  • What about different versions of the Bible?I am a JW and read my bible as truth.A true translation. My point being is the Holy Trinity.I see things as God our Father and His Son,Jesus.Holy spirit is not a living being but a force.God is not Jesus. Thus there is NO Trinity.......I am a Christian (belief and faith in Christ) but I look for proof on both sides because this debate is VERY important as a Christian.Any insight?

  • @waderp JW is a non Christian cult. I would run from that cult fast.

  • I'll ask Jesus to guide me..not the book.

  • @ShaolinRambo Jesus words and teachings are in the book

  • Hello, why do you mark your Bible red! it's hard to see,i like useing the yellow highlight!

  • The bible was found in an old house it was all marked up with notes on the side etc.. I have one that is NIV that I bought I use yellow also but it's interesting to see what the previous owner of the bible had highlighted :-)

The one with red highlighted is the one I found in an old house. It looks pretty old its a DAKE Annotated reference bible. Always good to see you brother :-)

  • The idea that God or Christianity encourages or approves of slavery is shown to be false. In fact, anybody who was caught selling another person into slavery was to be executed. However, since voluntary slavery was widely practiced during biblical times, the Bible proscribes laws to protect the lives and health of slaves. Paul, the author of many of the New Testament writings, virtually ordered the Christian Philemon to release his Christian slave from his service to "do what is proper".

  • can you tell about 2012 in the bible i believe

  • @waderp These are some verses that might help support that Jesus Christ is God (PLEASE LOOK UP IN KJV):

    1.) John 1:1, 14

    2.)John 10:30

    3.)1 John 3:16

    4.)John 8:58, then look up Exodus 3:13-14

    5.) 1 John 5:7

  • I invite all non-catholics to read Pope Benedicts awesome tome on The Holy Bible titled "Verbum Domini". Pax.

  • @MrdotIsaac All blaspheme will be forgiven Mankind, except that against the Holy Spirit (the Holy Ghost). Imagine Christ being a perfect jukebox, playing everything with perfection and performing it; then an atheist gives it the "Destroy Christ Record" and blaspheme the Holy Spirit; thus the destroy us record was rejected by Christ. Do not blaspheme the Holy Spirit, if salt loses its saltiness, then it cannot be made salty again; if someone chooses to reject Christ, let them go their way.

  • Hell is separation from God, our sins and our complicity in each other's sins separates us from God, that God of truth and righteousness. We are made free in Christ Jesus to take away our slavery to sin, and warned that to enter into sin after our forgiveness can leave us as slaves to sin and losing Heaven is a possibility, as we ignored God: Keep faith to the end to be saved. Our only choice is belief, and this is where we find our salvation, not by works but by faith.

  • Orthodox bible is only true bible.

  • @shockofgod When I read that, it was before jesus was even discussed, this was before jesus even came into the picture, I think because there was no mention of him at that point.

  • @shockofgod Right now I am currently about a quarter of the way through the bible. So there is still a ways to go, but this is discussed kind of in the beginning I think. I remember reading something about it. It's fine to have salves such as doing work, taking care of cattle, etc etc. They have to be paid, but it can't be forced slavery which is what happened in America sum years ago and a few other countries, it was forced slavery. Egyptions back in those times forced the slavery.
