@relientgaga if you've had any experience with the drug you would know that there's no fucking way you can go more than 30 seconds with out laughing never mind doing anything remotely productive. Plus he was a little tipsy from the nyquill and delirious. It's a skit kinda like a couple other recordings he's done.

@ThePatchpocket I understand that you're referring to rock and roll as an ethos rather than a style of music, but imho rock and roll, in the words of ac/dc, is just rock and roll. And yes, by that i mean square drum beats and overdriven guitar

@bbbbbum Rock and roll is a term used to designate several things, not just 4/4 drum beats and over-driven guitar riffs. If you read the comment again you'll see that it was more a reference to the character that is Dan Deacon as opposed to the music itself. I think a lot of what people call "rock and roll" these days, in reference to culture/lifestyle, is actually a tip of the hat to excessive and directionless consumption. In my mind, Dan Deacons demeanor represents somewhat of an antidote.
