Quick defensive structures in minecraft

Some defensive buildigns i made to show u guyse, these could be used in wars. I actually improvised everything i built on the spot xD, but i had the general idea.
i wanted to add The barricade also but i didnt have an idea for it and i think sandbags could be used instead.

What about spiders getting into your bunker? I suggest placing slabs of any kind into the windows, you can still shoot out, and spiders can't get in! :P

@HapplyFace Ahaha I'm not the only one who feels minecraft is losing its way. However I think the peak is definitely alpha, where mining was a goal instead of exploring pointless structures
