@39chipper Her name was dubbed - by the fans - Derpy Hooves. Then the creators of the show decided to use it as a nod to the fans.

I love how the show works with all the other bronies, first Derpy was unnamed, then they thought of that awesome name. Now, it WAS on the show! I still think they needed to bring back the original on iTunes though.

@Evilboberful *facehoof* obviously not, "The Last Roundup" aired on 21st January, therefor Derpy Day is the 21st January from now on.
