Sorry i reuploaded this again, the quality of my last video was poor and because i've lost the original files somewhere in my jungle of files i had to download it from somewhere.

I originally uploaded this when the videos were released, but the X-cult tried to claim copyright of the video resulting me into uploading it.

New Worlds was the first level that Chris Senn and Ofer Alon made together when they were working on their version of Sonic X-treme. Originally this game was going to be shown to Nakayama when he went to the STI to check up on the development but they missed their chance.

Anyways, this video along with new paths was in my possession for quite sometime before the videos were released because i leaked 15 seconds of this video onto the internet and was discovered a few months later. The music of the video is called Trench which sadily had nothing to do with X-treme's development according to Chris Senn.

If there is any other questions, just feel free to ask.

  • where the fuck are the playable versions featured in all these videos?

  • @Supertomiman

Stuck in some guys archives never to be seen again sadly.

  • Thanks so much for uploading these vids, this had so much potential, criminal that it never came to fruition.

    SegaSaturn(dot)co(dot)uk

  • Your welcome, glad to help. I'll have to pop by the forums sometime.

  • That level looks like a maze :S

  • Yeah it does in a way..

  • Absolutely amazing. Even today, this would look great on a handheld, and for it's time this made similiar genre games look very slow and blocky. This is just.... wow.

You can watch it again and again and it seems to pull you inside. The fish-eye lens engine really makes it play more like a dream...

Fuck SoJ and the morons that screwed Chris Senn and Ofer Alon's awesome idea.

We live in a sad age. I'd play this anyday over any of these new pitiful "next-generation" Sonic games anyday.

  • what song is this??

  • I'll probably get a lot of heat for this but this looks bad...I couldn't watch the whole vid...It gave me a headache...I can see why they cancelled it...

that looks awesome as hell, and in ur face an shit

  • @Supertomiman its a cancelled sonic game

  • Somehow, this looks like the kind of game that works better on a widescreen, or HD, resolution. I constantly got the feeling that the visible area was too small, which allows for easy falling into traps / bumping into enemies / etcetera. (Make a tribute game, hint hint ;) )

All in all, a very interesting demo. Incredibly smooth. Too bad it never actually got released. I'm sure the Saturn would have done a lot better, had this game been here.

  • sonic galaxy

  • @XKaiminalX

That isn't right. :-( I hope whoever has it has a change of heart and releases it, unless Sega still plans to do something with it.

  • if i ever were a game maker with sega , i would be naming and making a sonic game with these stuff and the same name ...

  • looks...interesting. the fish eye view is a bit annoying, but it really grabs my attention, still needs sound effects. i dont think this would save the saturn, but it still looks tempting to play

  • Looks good! I like it :)
