The reason to change an o2sensor is when you get a check engine light, and do a reading on your engine and find out that it needs to be changed. he is not just changing it to be changing if it is bad it is bad. and you will know.

@30000503 I'm a real novice at these kind of repairs, so I'l just ask... Do you think garages (whether dealerships or your favorite mechanic's shop around the corner) attempt to test sensors like this or do they just call for a replacement based on scanner suggestions? Considering the cost of some senors, I'd hope they would do as you suggest. Comments...

@truso When he says 120F im assuming he wants the exhaust to be warm, because steel expands and contracts with temperature when it is warm it will be expanded a little bit and prob make for an easier removal. Good Luck

what do you mean by 120 degree ferenheit? Should I change it after I drive my car for a while. Or can I change it when I wake up in the morning.??
