Grayson on Tea Party Debate: "It's Sadism."

Former Congressman Alan Grayson blasts the candidates and audience members at a Republican presidential debate. Several members of the audience shouted out, saying that an uninsured man should be permitted to die if he slips into a coma and does not have health insurance. The interview took place on MSNBC's The Ed Show on September 13, 2011.

What is more patriotic than making sure the citizens of your country have healthcare? Why are people so angry and mean to each other? Why can't we agree to help one another and ensure that people don't die and suffer because they don't have enough money to pay corrupt healthcare companies? Why can't we love each other and look out for each other? Why not band together for the greater good and protect our common welfare? I don't understand the inhumanity that people exhibit towards each other. :(

Where does the self-centered view of the right-wing ideology come from? Their leaders claim to be Christians but it resembles no Christ consciousness I've ever encountered. Since when did Jesus promote man's inhumanity to man? In truth, the origins of this ideology seem to be demonic in nature from what I see.

@lthom33 It's insane we give Isreael $. They don't need it, we do. The problem re Walmart is they don't let their employees to unionize. But they'll cont to thrive unless the economy improves. Pple like my own sister in WA cant' afford to shop elsewhere on their tight income. They can't get the food & other products they need unless they shop where prices are lowest so it a circular conundrum. The ave income is $5,000 less than it was a decade ago while prices have skyrocketed - what a mess!
