NEW HANOVER - Detectives with the New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Division concluded a two month investigation that led to the arrest of a Wilmington man and the seizure of more than 1 Kilo of Cocaine. The arrest occurred on Friday, December 17th as Detectives initiated a traffic stop in the 5600 block of Castle Hayne Road. The cocaine has a street value of over $125,000.

Charles Rudolph Clay III, 32, of New Hanover County was charged with possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, four counts of trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle to keep/deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possess of weapon by felon. Clay remains in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1,000,000 secured bond.

"We stand committed to getting the drug dealiers and the drugs off our streets and out of our communities", said Sheriff Ed McMahon during the Media Conference earlier today.
