Israeli And Arabs Revise 'American Boy' Song To Make Politic

British singer Estelles hugely popular song American Boy has rocketed to the top of the charts throughout Europe and North America, yet few know that the song is also immensely popular in the Middle East.

Just last month, Israel released two new versions of the song. One version sung in Hebrew recounts a Middle Eastern love story, while the second version in Arabic satirizes the stereotype of Arab women in Middle Eastern society. 12/11/08
