I love how both Randy and Michael both come in on the wrong melodic line on the first "B" section, and then Randy turns to Michael and gives him a classic "What the hell was that?" look. Sometimes I like it when monster musicians make little mistakes; it's more human.

Jeeeez. That bass player is insane.

I think Neil Jason could crack macadamia nuts between his fingers and palm and text 150 words per minute at the same time.

Hey that bassist could be Al DiMeola in disguise? And the drummer is out of the Billy Cobham 'school of drums' academy. Great Track. I have the original album on vinyl in mint condition. Had the pleasure in shaking hands with Randy B at the Jazz Cafe' in London a few years ago during a star studded evening of perfomers.

Now THAT'S music!!

I usually preferred the studio version with Harvey Mason and Will Lee over the Heavy Metal Be-Bop version, but I admit this version is great, so is this drummer. And of course, Neil Jason is great here.

When was this? About 1979?

@ModernSaxDotCom yeah! He looked like a redneck logger who could rock the bass! LOL I love the combination! :) He still has a beard these days too, even though it's way trimmed down and grey. :)
