@TheGhilliSniper -Who wants to know...?
-
@spacelizardlaw are you high or just fucking nuts, i think you ate too much paint
-
@TheGhilliSniper -More like 'WHAT' who when where how & why.
All these pointless cares the Patriot Act has removed from your lives.
Now tell me the god on your dollar bill doesn't really exist America when deep down you know he does all this for you unasked every day.
Isn't this exactly what state approved televangelists tell you every day as they plead for your money for the work of the Lord Jeeze-arse?
(The real Christ who is totally unrelated to Jeeze-arse still rocks)
-
@spacelizardlaw what?

Too many people are praying for me...
Would someone please pray they'll stop...

@DaToNyOyO Amoebae, I forget the exact name of the example. Anyways I only read one of your comments and what I got from it is that you are saying avoiding fire or heat is only a reflex, which means you have to experience it first to know that its bad. But like I said Amoebae and bacteria are able to avoid things that are harmful to them without ever coming in contact with it. All Im saying is that its easy to just say this happens because of this, while there could be other reasons.

Which is irrelevant to the discussion unless you can show that they can also "overcome" their "instinct" and burn themselves.
And what are these mysterious organisms? Citation required..
-
@DaToNyOyO Did you know that there are organism with no brain or any kind of "reflex" system that will avoid things like heat or certain chemicals. We are talking about organisms that only live days so its not like they learned to avoid these things during their lifetime.
-
Christians call it a tactical retreat
I love that people will just be giant jerks to these guys and they just want to talk calmly
@dejesusluisx Not necessarily a conscious process. You seem to have made quite a leap there.
Humans simply *are not* the only animals that have the capacity to act contrary to "instinct". And you are mislabelling reflex as instinct.
Ever burnt yourself with a match as a child? I did. That's how I *learned* not to play with fire. That's not instinct.
Animals that have never seen fire are not afraid to burn themselves; it's not instinct for them to avoid it.
It's a learned response. A reflex.

@dejesusluisx Wow. You are so stupid. You are absolutely incapable of listening. There IS NO SUCH THING AS INSTINCT. ALL YOU CAN SEE AND OBSERVE IS BEHAVIOR. YOUR DESIRE TO BURN THE FLESH FROM YOUR ARM WOULD BE YOUR "INSTINCT" IN REGARDS TO THAT INANE THOUGHT. BUT IT ISN'T INSTINCT, IT'S JUST BEHAVIOR. God damn, boy, learn to read and listen. Your behavior is only that stupid because as a human being your intelligence and complexity is much greater than any other species.
