@TheRogueMonk katana is one of the most versatile weapon in warfare. it can thrust and it can slice. the reason it seems limited is because of it's length. there are katanas at different lengths. the usual would be a meter and 33 centimers. the longest i believe would go up to 1.5m. there were also blades that went to minimal length for maximum speed known as ninjato. it is dangerous. but it is one of the best weapon in a dynamic fight.

the katana and its type of stans seem to be very limited in a dynamic fight.. normally katana is fatal i think its not for street fights.
and since its so dangerous they would dnt be so dynamic too much. therefore it seems its easier for chiese stlye to get points but maybe get less fatal strikes.. i am not sure.

i did karate as a kid but cant move like,can you?my cousin died from 18 stab wounds an it took him longer than that and he laughed till the end,he was even joking till the end,i hear ya tho i know what ya mean,but these cunts are well fit,and i bet all they need to do is follow through with a hit and youd be on your ass!,it looks wushu to me

well, choreography says little of skill but i watched their real videos, and while they are fast, they never block, thay are too into the point sparring, hitting first, kinda like kendo people, who would prolly die in a real swordfight, as it takes someone over 15 seconds to die from a stab to the heart, so, all in all, fast, but would die, definitely take someone down with them though
