In a speech delivered at the Heritage Foundation Robert Spencer provides a thorough examination of the historical Muhammad. Modern liberal academia attempts to depict Muhammad as a loving, peaceful and moral man whose spiritual beauty has produced Islam -- a peaceful and tolerant religion. In this speech, Spencer clearly demonstrates the falsehood of this fictional depiction of the "prophet" of Islam. The historical Muhammad was neither peaceful nor moral. Moreover, the Islamic tradition he founded has been the most intolerant religion the world has ever known.
