Baby Autism at 11 months

UPDATE-RICKY GOT A DIAGNOSIS OF AUTISM ON SEPT 30, 2010 AT THE AGE OF 13 MONTHS!!! FIGHT FOR YOUR KIDS AND TAKE THEM TO AS MANY DOCS AND SPECIALIST AS YOU CAN TO GET A DIAGNOSIS EARLY THE EARLIER THE BETTERRicky may have autism with possible mental retardation. Right now he has been diagnosed with Pervasive development Disorder-nos and motor delays. No matter what his diagnosis is, I love this little guy with every inch of me. He brings a smile to my face every time I look at him. Ricky is playing with his new fav toy. A Sock!! What ever makes him happy is fine with me. He has learned to sit up now and will pick some toys up. Ricky is 11 months in this video. He can not crawl yet or stand. He says Dada but does not know the meaning of the word. He said Mama for the first time today!!!! YIPEEEEE I hope you enjoy my little man as much as I do!!!

@TheJambaby Hello!!! Thank you for the comments! =O) Ricky just learned to crawl last night! He is doing very well. He just turned 1 years old on 8/21/10. His favorite thing right now are wires! I move him away and he will move right back to them. He just likes to look at them and touch them. He also just realized he has a reflection in the mirror and stares at himself. He still love his shirts and picks at them and sucks on them. He will also just stare down at them for like 10 minutes.

Ya know he reminds me more of my son every time you post a new video. Good news is my son has really progressed over the last month. He is still really speech delayed and has a lot of repetitive behaviors, but his play skill are improving and his babbling has increased. And he is FINALLY saying Mama at 15 months! If Ricky is saying Mama already, that is a really good sign! I really enjoy your videos of him, keep up the good work! Logan's favorite toy at that age was his burp cloth lol!

My son had delays too. He didn't talk until he was 3 & 1/2, didn't walk until over a yr old, late w/ potty training etc. Before I pulled him out of speech therapy they suggested he may have autism.......after removing him from speech therapy a mo. later he spoke an entire sentence. He's now soon to be 6 yrs old & an average child w/ no autism like they thought. Autism diagnosis' make these docs money, they over diagnose these poor kids.

You child is doing the same thing my boy is he is almost 2 years old own. Been to a ton of Drs. Autism Drs are almost few and far between with them offereing you 8 month away appt!!! This should be illegal! We need more Dr's! Did they offer him any medicine/? Or special therapy? His Neuro Dr said he is in the Autism Spectrum Disaorder he also has low tone and is almost 2 and not talking or babbling. Barely is walking a few steps. And does hand movements.
