An unofficial No Grunt Edit Symphonic Version of an Epica masterpiece. This was generated using SoundForge and MuVee autoProducer in an attempt to remove/replace grunts whenever possible (sorry Mark!). I made this for symphonic metal fans who are on the fence with the dark metal grunts.

Epica, please edit/release two official versions of your albums ... one symphonic/dark metal and one symphonic metal to appeal to both camps and it will definitely extend your fan base.

Grunts are fine ... but they have released no grunt alternate versions in the past ... Let the controversy begin ...

  • So I guess you don't want people to know what the song is about do you? Nice to now that you don't care about the meaning of the song at all.

  • this edit is indeed horrible. it's impossible to make it sound natural. don't take this seriously (lol), but cutting epica's songs and leaving Mark out is sin because Mark Jansen is the god! :)

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?????? this is bullshit... and the edit is shit too!!!!! jajajajajajja so bad!! you suck! go shit yourself and dont ruin epica's songs

  • Good but sth is really missing!!!!

  • When the whole song is based around the grunts you can't take them out. You also lose the whole meaning of the song. Marks part is driving home what the song is about. 9/11 and what happened on that day. Taking it out ruins the whole meaning of the song.

  • Facade of Reality really lives from the grunts, and the filler segments which contain them define the style of the song as well. Without an original grunt-less recording, one can hardly replace them. However when you skipped the "is there still room for new dents in old wrecks" part, the "YAAAAAanguis meus tibi non iam perbibendus sit" cut was hilarious.

  • Joyordison I'll admit it's not a great version but theres no need to get so worked up over it. Personally I listen to music with and without grunts. I like versions of songs with and without grunts. It's a personal taste. And if you dont like another artist there isnt a need to insult her.

  • It's about 9/11.

  • ROFLMAO wth?? Sorry i thought this was actually a love-song =/

  • This song is not a damn ballad.
