Hypersonic, VTOL & Flying Sub concepts - New River Community Collge

New River Aeronautics -
Students from New River Community Colleges Advanced CAD & Parametric Modeling completed Aeronautical Concept Design projects put forth to them by Project Manager Stephen Justice at Lockheed Martin's "Skunk Works". Projects consisted of the following for three types of aircraft.

- VTOL Vertical Takeoff and Landing
- Flying Submersible
- Hypersonic

- Complete set of concept working drawings (approx. 40 pages)
- 3D models of every part on the aircraft design
- 25 plus 3D renderings
- Aeronautical Statistics, Proposals and fact sheets
- Power Point show presentation of aircraft
- Interactive DVD
- Data DVD
- Hard Copies of all Renderings

Projects will be sent out and reviewed by industry, educators and authors around the country over the next several weeks.

Good, expect your Stinger is actually a B-2 bomber.

@DasFlugenwrecker There are a lot of similarities to the B2 in the design.  The main differences are that this is autonomous/unmanned, the wings contain vertical take off lift fans, and a separate inlined j404 turbojet with an articulaing exhaust nozzle.

Awesomad, actually more money is being pored into stealth technology than ever before. With the unveiling of China's J-20 Stealth fighter, companies such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman are looking into ways to increase research spending in the field of Stealth Technology. We have had reiews of our aircraft designs by the top aerodynamicists/designers in the world, no offense, but I'm going to value their opinion a little more. Inlets are for a combined cylcle engine.

The "Hypersonic UCAV" looks like a somewhat modernized version of the "Saenger II", proposed two stage to orbit vehicle.

The stinger better have doors to close off both ends of the wings vtol engines and the missiles better find their way inside the aircraft's fuselage or it will be spotted as soon as it takes off
