The jump causes the screen to change color. Thats how you know that there was a jump in the cutting mode.

I could have used my $6.00 Big Lots Mastercrafter handsaw faster than that. Cute little saw, but way out of it's league on that little tree.

A five dollar (thrift store) bow saw would get through a four inch trunk with little problem.
