A follow-up on my "How to create an iSCSI target and initiator in Solaris 10" video, where I demonstrate quickly how to add ZFS-volume-backed iSCSI targets. The shareiscsi property is demonstrated on the ZFS volume.

Sorry about the loose use of terminology in the video. I was extremely tired while recording these quick ones. And yes, I call it "ZED EFF ESS" =)

This is a follow-on video from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWDCntkKX7k

  • Hi, have you tried this in new Oracle Solaris Express 11? When trying to: zfs set shareiscsi=on /tank/fish , it complains about "cannot set property for 'tank/fish': invalid property 'shareiscsi'". So it seems this property option is not available anymore on svn_151a. When googling about this, I get some stuff about COMSTAR. Im still noob with solaris, but maybe you can figure it out better?

And thank you for video :)
