Original images of beaches on the Costa Calida in Murcia by Dream Spain Spanish Property.

Murcia is a region in the South East of Spain. It is blessed with a unique salt water lake called the Mar Menor, which is divided from the Mediterranean Sea by a strip of land called La Manga.

The region of Murcia has the typical Mediterranean semi-arid subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 18ºC, hot summers and mild winters
.
There are approximately 2,800 of sunshine per annum. In general rain is scarce throughout the region, falling mainly in the spring and autumn, while the summer is a dry season with very occasional short lived downpour.

Murcia has some wonderful beaches both on the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean, many of them with blue flag and Q awards. You can get to Murcia via rail, car and air (San Javier, Murcia airport.)

Dream Spain are Independent property agents specialising in property on the Costa Calida, Murcia, Spain. The company is run by Martine and Bill Cherry.
