Wizaired Intake on a 1999 Grand Prix

Testing the new wizaired intake on my GTP. People like to see what they sound like so i figured i'd go ahead and post mine as well.

i want to buy a used 99 grand prix gt. can any one tell me if they are reliable with 140,000 miles on it?

oh ok... how does the box sit there without moving?? what holds it in place?

@NWO41508 when you assemble to box in the engine bay you are bolting it in place. Then the PCM is just strapped in and wont move inside the box.

Looks good man i actual just got a 98 GTP and was looking at getting one of these. My question is being boxed off like that and all can you still get some good sound out of it? Cuz i really like hearing that supercharger whine

@spartanzz1 Yes the supercharger whine actually increases i thought. Definitely no regrets with it, it sounded awesome when i would step on the pedal

@graffwriter17 I have a 99 grand prix gt, all original with 280k. Treat it right and it'll go just fine.

@spartanzz1 othe supercharger whine gets way louder and it sounds great just get the wizaired from zzp its a very good cai and its worth it my mileage actually went down due to me trying to hear my supercharger all the time

@graffwriter17 these cars usually go over 200k and then usually tranny problems over engine problems unless the engine wasnt treated well

@spartanzz1 The supercharger is on the opposite side of the engine why wouldn't u hear the whine? the intake goes to the blower and you follow the blower to the snout with a belt on it that is your s/c belt and pulley.

@graffwriter17 Ypu might wanna check the tranny, but the 3800 is one of the all time great engines.

@graffwriter17 98' and newer grand prix come with the 3800 engine which is one of the best and longest lasting you can get. if you find one with 150k on it you shouldnt worry,

@graffwriter17 It's not the miles, it's the previous owner. I got mine at 132k, it's at 167.5k, kept it in good running condition, & have had it only 15 months...If you take care of it, it will take care of you...
