  • I wonder... in the painting where we see a girl being eaten by a tree, the other two look like they are freeking because of that, but their eyes are staring at something else, so I wonder, what can be more frightening than seeing a friend being eaten?

  • @2909ism For girls their age? Obviously, seeing Justin Bieber being eaten by a tree.

  • killer

  • @chickennone Yea verily, my cup runneth over.

  • They just had a nice exhibit here in NYC at the Paul Kasmin gallery. Some of the famous paintings along with studies and pencil draughts. It was my first time there. Great space and it was neat to get an "in" on his process. When I first saw his paintings I kind of wrote him off as not being quite as intelligent or drawing from as many interesting and varied sources as he does. Of course the works are nice to look at, but the fact that so much goes into them makes it all the better.

  • @SylvanaForrester It's interesting that Ryden and artists like him are thought of as painting low brow art. I've never been interested in Picasso, but I was fascinated to see him at work in a 1950s film which showed him painting 15 works.
