The Chatty Cathy in this delightful film is from 1962, it is a rarer doll as it is wearing the dress called Nursery School. Chatty Cathy dolls in 1962 came in either a pink stripe dress called Peppermint Stick or a blue dress called Party Dress. Mattel came out with a thing called the Dressed Doll Assortment in 1962, where you could buy a doll in an outfit normally sold separately, that is what this doll is, a dressed doll. Chatty collectors also know that this doll came in the blue window box!

What a precious clip of a little girls excitement opening Chatty Cathy. Didn't care for the lame audio though. That doll would be quite valuable today.

No, we have nothing from childhood. I bought a replacement stuffed monkey on Ebay to replace one I had as a kid. The replacement is old, and the same type of toy monkey I had, but not actually my original "monkey with the banana." He happily hangs in my palm tree on my patio.
