Hi Darlene,

so awesome. About one year ago, I wrote a blog post that the love of the product is the root of failure, a little allusion ;-) You can build a huge business with a mediocre product, simply look at McDonalds. Everybody knows that and everybody would be able to make a better hamburger at home...but they have the best system.

In a similar way, we have to look at the entire system of 5 components if we have a good or a bad business.

@luckyoliver70 Isn't it funny how we want to struggle it seems in this business and settle really for mediocre when, if there was a little due diligence done on the part of the network marketer, they could be starting out making 20% instead of 2 or 4% in commissions. There just has to be some looking around to find that company. Don't settle on the first opportunity you run across; search, look... unless of course you happen to stumble onto a 5 Pillars company right away.

it is amazing how many people who are completely hooked on the product. They can't see beyond it. I was once with a company like that where the product was given an almost mythic status - but a tough pay plan.

@charlieholles Isn't that the truth. When people realize that it is NOT the product that is paying them (so to speak) and learn what compensation plan is best for them, there will be more success.

I find that many are making the same mistake that I made when searching for a company to join. I never became a student of the industry. I went out on my own, hoeing for the best. RESULT: Failure. Not anymore.

Hi Darlene, You definitely mad some good points in this video and one that stands out to me is to do the research and find the company with th pay plan that will allow you to build a great income. It has got to be a five pillars company with great pay plan, great products at a great price. A management team with integrity.
