Oseijeman Adefunmi Traveled to Matanzas, Cuba and was initiated, he returned to NY, set up shrines, temples and institutions to honor the Orisa. The Sango Temple, The Yoruba Temple and the African Theological ArchMinistry to name a few. He did not put the light of African Deities under a basket or call them by Catholic saint names. Adefunmi in1970 established Oyotunji Village in SC, where Orisa are worshiped daily. Orisa(Yoruba) is Vodun(Fon) is Vodou(Creole) all began in West Africa. OK
