When people think of CPR and First-Aid, they immediately think of having to use those skills on a loved one or family member in case of an emergency. Dogs and cats are also family members and may need immediate care. The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross and NorthStar VETS have joined forces to present the first-time ever massive pet First-Aid training class May 15 and 16 at the Millstone Community Center in Millstone, NJ. The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is excited to present these classes to the public. Attendance for the classes is limited, so it is important that people sign up as soon as possible. NorthStar Vets is also on board for this event, donating their finances and professional resources. The classes will mirror human First-Aid courses and consist of instructor lecture, DVD follow-along, and then hands-on work with mannequins.
