  • Jon, this is a perfect introduction to clay modelling for children and I will be using some of your ideas next time we are making The Salmon of Knowledge (Ancient Irish Legend). Thanks a million

  • Well yes, it does look like an elementary grade fish...so? if you are working with kids the method is the magic, not a perfect likeness. Good job. We would have added a little mention of water and slip to make things stick just a bit better with our clay but obviously not necessary for this project with your clay!

  • The fish was basic but it was recognisable as a fish! And as noted before, it was instructional! Ta.

  • some people are so fusssssy!!!! I thought it was a great clay fish demo. It took actually about two minutes to make several points about how to meld really plastic clay together and the relative merits of a closed shape. Also touching on ventilating large closed pieces. I thought your irreverance in playing to the camera while poking 'a mouth' into the piece was great. Stop us all getting super fussed and super worried about doing everything right. Perfect introduction to clay.

  • I really hope this was a joke..

  • This looks really bad, like an elementary grade fish.. Sorry .
