This is the progress report on the Ssgt Reckless maquette in clay. I am approximately 95% done with this phase, I have a few more details on the legs and hooves, and will add some veins on her face and legs. She needs her tack next, which unfortunately, will cover a lot of the detail on her back... but it was important to study her full anatomy before the tack. I welcome any suggestions on improvements. For still phots with more detail, please visit the link on my website:

NOTE: You'll notice some dark brown areas throught the sculpture, such as her ears and parts of her mane... this is a dark wax that is more rigid than the clay, so I use it for support on the fine areas. Also. her three lower legs have cut marks on them so I can remover her from the base.
