Let's Play Secret of Mana - Pt 6 - 16 Bit Sprites

The Dwarf Village is a silly place indeed. After a rather questionable sideshow, it's time to fight my personal favorite boss in the game, the ever-ridiculous Tropicallo. Killer fruit salad in the house! Defeating him, however, gives us our third and final party member : the sprite child, Pranko! Pranko is a bit of a trickster, rather rambunctious, and of questionable gender, though this might just be translation shenanigans. I think in canon it's male, but the game refers to him as male, female, and even "it" at times.

I'm talking about Pranko. Also, why did you name all three party members as such?

Valor was named simply due to a valorous nature as a hero. Pranko was named due to his trickster nature. Elise was named after a character on a TV show I watched at the time, Babylon 5.

This is why I really like your let's plays, Roahm. You show alternate plot paths and all that good stuff. You don't leave anything unanswered.

Ah. I forgot that you get the Bow, the Boomerang and the Axe at the same time. Now that my memory's coming back to me, you get the Whip from the witch's place, don't you? Anyway, I thought you were going to name him Prick or Prat for a second. I think I ended up naming him Jinx (and thinking he was a girl for a while despite the clear use of gender pronouns in his intro >.>).

@sonicstick7 ...What? If anything, I'd say RPGs more usually have 3 member parties than 4 member ones, if only slightly.
